Richard Caulfield became the NW Area Director of Association of Colleges covering the North West since 1 December 2014 and has subsequently took on the additional role of national lead for mental health within AoC.
In his mental health role, Richard has led on the AoC MH and Wellbeing Charter which has over 180 college signatories, developed the on-line self-evaluation tool for colleges, C-Met, with the Charlie Waller Trust and delivered a £1m programme of work focused on MH in FE with the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership. Richard also chairs the Charlie Waller Trust FE & HE Advisory Board.
Prior to taking up this role Richard was Chief Executive of Voluntary Sector North West for 7 years, a regional umbrella body for the voluntary sector. Richard has also held a number of senior roles in both the voluntary and private sectors, including time at the National Union of Students.
In addition to this Richard has several voluntary roles including being a Trustee of the anti-poverty charity Mustard Tree.
