COVID-19 SAFETY AT OUR SHOWS

SAFE SHOWS FOR EVERYBODY

Keeping our communities and each other safe is our priority

We are highly committed to the health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and wider community. As the events industry begins to re-open and we prepare for our first face-to-face event since 2019, covid health and safety will be a huge priority for us.

We will continue to work very closely with the venue to ensure that we meet the COVID-19 regulations and government safety updates.

Please read on for more information on our promise to keep you safe at our event and also for some very important guidelines you will need to follow to ensure the safety of every other attendee to our show.

ESSENTIAL RULES

Required for Entry

ENTRY: NHS COVID Pass, Vaccination Proof or Negative Lateral Flow Test

The Excel Centre requires all attendees to bring with them (either on their phone or as a printed copy) proof of double vaccination, Covid-19 antibodies or negative lateral flow test (taken within 24 hours of entry) valid on the day of event entry. You may be asked to show your pass every time you enter the event space so please keep it to hand at all times during the event. You can find out more here

How to get a NHS COVID Pass?

You can get a NHS COVID Pass, obtained most easily via the NHS App, if you have been double vaccinated 14 days prior to the event or you have a negative LTF or PCR test within 48 hours of creating the pass.

BEFORE THE SHOW

Preparing for your Visit

REGISTER IN ADVANCE

Register for your ticket before the show as we will have a reduced contact-registration system. Securing your ticket in advance will ensure our staff will be able to manage the crowd and plan effectively for number of attendees.

TEMPERATURE CHECK

If you have access to a thermometer, we highly recommend taking your temperature before arriving at the venue. If you have a reading higher than 37.5°C or any COVID-19 symptoms, we politely request that you refrain from visiting our show.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Check out our agenda, floorplan and exhibitor list and plan any meetings in advance in order to get the most out of the show in the safest way possible.

TRAVEL LIGHT

The cloakrooms at the NEC will still be open for use, however as part of safety protocols cloakrooms are cashless, so please keep this in mind as you plan your visit.

CHECK YOUR EMAILS

Please pay careful attention to all communications sent out from our event team regarding the event and registration process. Mark us a 'safe sender' so these important updates come straight into your inbox

DOWNLOAD BOTH NHS APPS

Please ensure you have downloaded the NHS COVID-19 contract tracing app AND the NHS App if you plan to use it to display your NHS COVID Pass on entry to the event.

AT THE SHOW

Upon Arrival and During

FACE-COVERINGS

We will have a face mask available at show entry for every attendee, if they wish to wear one. As per Government guidelines, face masks will be recommended but not mandatory for all attendees. If these rules are updated by the Government before the event we will update all attendees with any changes in relation to the requirement for face coverings.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

We will be providing more space than ever before within the venue to give visitors the room for social distancing. This include larger hallways, networking spaces and theatres.
We have now widened the aisles on our show floor and spaced the seating in our theatres to create a safe distance for everyone to be able to enjoy the show.

SANITISING STATIONS

For the purpose of personal hygiene, hand sanitiser will be present throughout the venue and every attendee will get a personal hand sanitizer at show entry. Please sanitise your hands upon entry to the show and also before using any of the self-serve registration points in the foyer.

FREE PARKING AVAILABLE

Free parking will be available for all visitors, exhibitors and speakers, so you will be able to enjoy free parking entirely on us.

ENHANCED CLEANING MEASURES

To ensure the safety of all, the NEC have introduced enhanced deep-cleaning measures, with an additional focus on high-frequency touch points, such as lifts, counters, toilets, doors, seating, meeting areas and hand rails.

AFTER THE SHOW

Leaving the Show Safely

TRACK AND TRACE

We are passionate about ensuring the safety of our visitors and exhibitors. In order to keep everyone safe, please have the NHS Track and Trace app installed on your mobile device. Using the app will allow for the local authorities to contact you if there is any need to. Please ensure you give accurate information throughout the registration process.

GIVE US YOUR FEEDBACK

Tell us how we did by completing the post-show survey that will be sent to you after the show. We highly value the feedback of all our visitors & exhibitors and would love to hear from you on anything you enjoyed, anything we can improve on and also how you found our first face-to-face 'covid-safe' show. Keep an eye on your emails after the show
